Domain registration is not included in build fees. Clients pay the actual cost of their domain directly (typically $12-$20/yr). We handle the setup. All plans include a written project agreement before work begins.

Every site we build can be paired with a monthly care plan. This is not a hosting reseller markup. It covers real, ongoing work: keeping things current, making changes when you need them, and being reachable when something breaks.
Hosting costs (server, domain renewal) are billed at actual cost with no markup. The monthly fee covers our time, not your infrastructure. You can opt out of care and manage the site yourself, but most clients find it's worth it to not have to think about it.

Services
Kona Studios LLC provides web design, web development, mobile app development, and related digital services. We make reasonable efforts to deliver quality work but do not guarantee specific business outcomes, search engine rankings, or results beyond the agreed deliverables. All project scopes, timelines, and deliverables will be defined in a separate project agreement or statement of work.
Payment & Project Terms
Payment terms, project milestones, and revision allowances are defined per project in individual agreements. Unless otherwise specified, a deposit is required before work begins. Remaining balances are due upon project completion before final files or site ownership is transferred. Kona Studios LLC reserves the right to pause work on any project with outstanding balances.
Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of full payment, clients receive full ownership of custom work created specifically for their project. Kona Studios LLC retains the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing. We retain ownership of any proprietary tools, frameworks, or code libraries developed independently and used across multiple projects. Third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) remain subject to their original licenses.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, timely feedback, and necessary approvals to keep projects on schedule. Delays caused by lack of client response may affect project timelines and delivery dates. Clients warrant that any materials they provide (logos, images, content) do not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kona Studios LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Termination
Either party may terminate a project engagement with written notice. In the event of termination, the client is responsible for payment of all work completed up to the termination date. Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
